Last year's winner, September Fury, came in as the plane to beat. Comfortably qualified at 478, pilot Mike Brown had to enter Sunday's final with a great deal of confidence. Things didn't go according to plan, and they pulled out with a broken motor while running second on lap 6. As with all the races, many thanks go to Mr. Brown for putting so much effort into the races. Reno would be much less without him.
